Nestled in a pastoral valley in Southwestern Ireland, Cottage Mary Rose is available for short and long term rentals. It sleeps up to 6.
The cottage is surrounded by its original dry stone fencing and fuscia hedge. The cottage gardens are complimented by a deck that over looks the rushing stream below.
On the inside, you are embraced by its old world charm. With all of the modern amenities it is the perfect place to call home while exploring the treasures of the southwest.

Floor plan
Through the red double door you enter the Hearth room with a stone fireplace and cathedral ceiling. With it’s antique hearth side bench it is such a great place to relax and enjoy a turf fire.
The loft bedroom with a single bed overlooks the hearth room and has a view of the west garden.
Underneath the loft bedroom is the snug (tv area) There is a flat screen TV and we have a satellite connection for you viewing enjoyment. There is a sleeper sofa that is full size. The views are of the front garden.
Off of the snug is the stable bedroom with a full size bed and views of the front and rear gardens.

Cozy up to the fire place with a good book.
The cottage kitchen is truly the Heart of the home. Complete with a red Heritage (Aga) Cooker which is amazing for home cooking. The built in dishwasher blends so well with the original Belfast farm sink. The retro NordMonde fridge is medium size so stocking up is easy to do. The farm table seats up to 8. The micro wave is hidden away in the beautiful pantry where the glass ware and kitchen essentials are stored. Recessed lighting with dimmer switches are just another added touch.
The main bedroom is off of the dining room and has a King size brass bed and ensuite massage shower/w.c. Its views are of the ravine and front garden.
Laundry/Sitting Room
There is a separate washer and dryer here.The sitting area has a traditional bench and small dining table that seats 2. Off this room is the main bath that has a Jacuzzi whirlpool and rain shower.
Washer and dryer are located in separate laundry/sitting room overlooking the back door off of the sitting room leads to the deck overlooking the stream.
Deck/patios
The back deck over looks the ravine and rushing stream below. There is a dining table that seats 6.
For after dark there is deck lighting and also there is back lighting that highlights the trees and stream.
The hot tub is such a great place to relax and unwind any time of day and with the sound of the rushing stream below it doesn’t get much better than this.
We don’t have light pollution in Cordal so star gazing is absolutely magical.
There are 2 additional seating/dining areas. One is in the back garden and the other one is in the front garden.

Location
Only a short 90-minute drive from the Shannon International Airport. The cottage is located in Cordal/Castleisland/Tralee in County Kerry.
There is a pub called Hughes Pub which is walking distance from the cottage. The local grocer is Kearney’s and is within walking distance of the cottage. Church of the Immaculate Conception, circa 1872, is within walking distance.
Castleisland is the nearest town. Its Main Street is the second widest in Ireland, as it is a 12th century market town. It is a great place for shopping and dining.
The cottage is 12 miles from Tralee, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry and the Atlantic Ocean.
